- This collection of sterling silver jewelry is modeled after a silver teapot in the MFA’s collection that was made by Paul Revere, Jr. (1734-1818) around 1760. For close to 40 years, Revere’s primary vocation was gold and silversmithing, which was taught to him by his father. During this period, he created numerous decorative arts pieces, which are widely recognized for their craftsmanship and quality metal. While he was well known for his excellent craftsmanship, he is also famous for his participation in the American Revolution and his legendary Midnight Ride that took place on April 18, 1775.
